BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Review

For years I’ve been on the hunt for the best Flat Iron and I think I found it, but first let me give you some background on my history with Flat Irons…

Years ago I was sold out on the infamous Chi Iron. I remember I went to the mall and picked one up from a salon. I was so excited to have a “Chi”! LOL

Chi Irons are overrated in my opinion. They, like some of the “old school” brands of hair have diminished in quality over the past few years. » Read More

The Top 3 Conditioners I Use On My Clients

Happy Monday! I’m sitting in my office getting excited about Thanksgiving because my entire family will be here. I think I may even break out the camera and post a short blog after it’s over, we’ll see!

OK so let me get straight to the point. I was asked on Facebook the other day what my favorite conditioners are for my clients so I decided to share with you my answer in no specific order.

1. Moroccanoil – Restorative Hair Mask

The Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask product is amazing and I love it. I mainly use it on my clients who have damaged or color treated hair.

It’s excellent and sometimes I even mix a teaspoon of actual Moroccan Oil with the mask to add shine and moisture.

Just like all of their other masks this one does not require any heat.

It’s only required to be on the hair for 5-7 minutes.

2. Sebastian – Penetraitt

This Sebastian Penetraitt product is recommended for chemically treated or damaged hair, but I love to use it on natural hair as a steam treatment.

You would not believe the result I get after using this product on my natural clients. It’s truly amazing.

Recently I discovered if I use this product on dry/natural hair for about 10 minutes underneath the drier while the hair is completely dry, it’s so much easier to shampoo and condition the hair afterwards.

3. Wella – Enrich

All of the 3 conditioners I’ve mentioned can be used on relaxed hair or natural hair, but this is my “go to” conditioning treatment for most of my relaxed clients.

It’s specially formulated for coarse hair, and trust me when I say…it’s truly amazing. This Wella Enrich treatment for coarse hair leaves the hair soft, silky and easy to manage.

I customize conditioning treatments for my clients, and when I do they always come back saying, “Do that thing you did to my hair again, it felt so soft, bouncy and silky!”

So there you have it! Have a favorite conditioner? I’d love to hear your favorites. Share them by posting your comments on the blog.

Be blessed!

"10 Minute Sew In" Honest Review

About a month or so ago, one of my favorite clients came in to get her 2 week maintenance for her sew-in weave. She’s Active Duty Air Force and has been natural for a little over 4 years.

She has beautiful hair already, but likes to wear her hair in a protective style sew-in because they’re required to do PT (Physical Training) 3 times per week.

While at her maintenance appointment, she told me that she was online doing some research and found this thing called the “Ten Minute Sew-In”.

The name rung a bell, but a vague one…lol! I had seen something on YouTube, but I never looked any further for whatever reason.

She ordered the piece and called to schedule an appointment immediately. Her appointment was this past Saturday. When she bought the piece in, I will admit I was a tad bit nervous about what I was going to see, but I kept an open mind. » Read More

Salon Pro 30 Sec Water Washable Weave & Extension Kit – Product Review

About 2 weeks ago I was in the Beauty Supply Store with my Mom helping her pick out some hair for a Quick Weave. Once she picked out her hair I headed over to the section with all of the different weave bonds to find my favorite Salon Pro 30 sec Bonding Glue.

While I was looking for it I stumbled upon a new product by Salon Pro called 30 Sec Water Washable Weave & Extension Kit. I looked at the box and it sure sounded good. Included in the kit is the following: » Read More
